The location of your wedding ceremony is a very personal decision.
Even if you don't belong to a church you may be able to have your wedding
in one. Many churches are available at a modest rental fee.
If you wish, your ceremony can be held in your home, a reception
center, or a public meeting place. The Rochester area also boasts
several beaches
and parks where your ceremony may be held.
Any location can be transformed into a reverent and joyous site for
your wedding. Your backyard, a local park, a recreation center, or
any other available location can become a beautiful wedding
site. Pastor Jack can provide suggestions to help in the transformation.
A church or other wedding site may be able to provide someone to
perform music for the ceremony. You can also contract other musicians
to provide your ceremony music. Recorded music is also an option,
and Pastor Jack can help you to pick out the proper songs.
There are a number of city and county parks in the Rochester area
where you can have your wedding. Highland Park has some beautiful
sites, such as Warner
Castle and Sunken Garden. If you have a short ceremony with only
a few people in attendance, you have even more options. The Finger
Lakes area has wineries that can host your ceremony and your reception.
You also have the option to use many of the City of Rochester Parks and
Recreation sites if you are on a budget, and would like to have a good
sized reception. Recorded music can be used for your ceremony if
you don't want the expense of hiring musicians.
