Solemnization is a specific service offered for those who want to have someone preside over their ceremony who is not legally authorized in New York State to officiate a wedding.
Pastor Jack will be present at the ceremony, lead the couple in their marriage vows, and pronounce the couple husband and wife. Every other element of the ceremony may be presented by a person or persons of your choice.
This service is ideal for the couple who would like a friend or family member who is not licensed to do so officiate over their ceremony. This person can present blessings, a sermon, readings, and all other elements of the ceremony, except for those which require a licensed officiant.
A valid NY State Marriage license in the name of the bride and groom must be presented to Pastor Jack before the ceremony begins.
Pastor Jack will arrive about 15 minutes before the ceremony begins to ensure the legal aspects of the union are attended to properly. He will stay for the ceremony, and return the marriage license to the issuing agency for processing as New York State law requires.
You may use the marriage vows of your choice, either traditional or customized. Pastor Jack can help you to chose or create your vows.
